Enerlites Introduces Innovative Dual Technology PIR/Humidity Wall Sensor Switch

Enerlites has introduced a PIR/Humidity wall sensor switch, which combines two technologies – PIR motion detection and a humidity sensor.

IRVINE, CA (Online PR News) DECEMBER 21, 2017

Enerlites, Inc. is proud to announce their new PIR/Humidity Wall Sensor Switch, which is an innovative two-in-one device. The device combines two technologies – a passive infrared technology to detect motion, and a humidity sensor to monitor the slightest change in humidity levels. The humidity sensor detects moisture levels, turning on and off as needed, thereby making this detection technology ideal for high-moisture locations like bathrooms and kitchens, spas, wet rooms, etc.

Greg Reese, National Sales Manager at Enerlites Inc. says, “Humidity is such a large problem throughout most of the US, we’ve combined two of our best technologies together to create an automated device that not only saves energy, but will also help prevent conditions that could potentially develop mold and ruin your health or home.”

The DWHOS PIR motion humidity sensor uses state-of-the-art technology to continuously monitor the air in a room, and automatically turns on the ventilation fan when it detects a rise in humidity. It automatically detects both movement and moisture, and turns lights and fans on or off. The DWHOS wall switch can also be operated manually. This dual technology motion sensor is also adjustable, allowing users to set timers from 15 seconds to 30 minutes. The switch alerts the user about the intensity of moisture in a room, which allows them to take all necessary steps to avoid mildew or mold growth, and increase the longevity of the building. This makes Enerlites PIR humidity sensor an ideal choice for various commercial and non-commercial applications like lounges, basements, garages, warehouses, etc.

“This dual-tech sensor switch is simple to install and can replace a single pole switch for a fan - light control combination”, says Reese. The sensor continues to operate the fan for minimum times set or until there is a reduction in room humidity levels. “This is one of a kind sensor, and fills a much-needed market gap that national electrical distributors have been asking for”, adds Reese.

The PIR/Humidity sensor switch complies with California Title 24, which is California’s Energy Efficiency Standards for residential and nonresidential buildings. The DWHOS dual-tech PIR motion is UL/CUL listed and comes with a two-year warranty.

Enerlites, Inc. is a global leader in lighting controls used in a wide variety of applications, including energy saving motion sensors, timers, innovative USB outlet receptacles and floor boxes as well as, standard receptacles and light switches for residential, commercial and industrial builders.
